Overflight Nazca lines

Declared cultural heritage of Peru. The Nazca lines are giant figures drawn in the middle of the coastal desert in the south west of Peru by the old settlers of Nazca.

There are numerous illustrations that can be seen: geometric figures, meanders, animals’ representations, plants and human silhouettes, labyrinths, and other geometric designs. The most surprising aspect of these lines is that can only be observed with clearly from the air giving rise to an endless number of theories about its purpose and how they were designed.

According to the studies the old settlers of Nazca had a great geometric knowledge to develop such lines, technically the Nazca lines are perfectly suited to the geography of the area. To make these lines and figures would have taken a long time, perhaps several generations, and many people have had to contribute to the creation of the Nazca Lines.

It is incredible to think that figures drawn up in the middle of the desert continued until today well-preserved and showing the intellectual capacity of the old inhabitant of Nazca.

Itinerary

Early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Nazca to transfer to the airfield in the locality, where we board a light aircraft to perform a memorable flight over the Nazca Lines and recognize better The figures formed by the lines drawn on the surface.

The overflight on the Nazca lines lasts approximately 35 minutes. During this time, you may see different figures drawn on the surface of stone of the Nazca desert, which represent animals and plants stylised, distributed over a huge labyrinth of lines, trapezes, triangles and spirals that have been conserved throughout almost 2000 years.
